Our Goal
Striving for justice through a fair reopening of the case, and appealing to all, for his exoneration.

George Stinney, 14 years old, is the youngest person executed in the US in the 20th century. He was accused of murdering two girls, Betty Binnicker and Mary Emma Thames. He gave what many people believe is a false confession that was never officially recorded. He was put through hours of interrogation, made without the presence of his parents; who were run out of town to escape the possibility of being lynched. There was no physical evidence of the crime, no cross examinations, and no witnesses for the defendant.
“This was South Carolina in 1944, with a black male defendant, two young white female victims, and an all white, male jury. Stinney never stood a chance” (The Grio).
